Helena Švihlová - Modelling of Flow in Stenotic Valves

Stenosis or narrowing of the aortal valve can cause serious health problems according to the stenosis severity. Severity depends on an amount of additional work of the left ventricle which is necessary to get normal amount of blood to aorta. In this time the evaluation of the stenosis severity includes the modification of Bernoulli equation. Let's look if and how the mathematical modelling can improve this aproach.
