Filip Roskovec - Superkonvergence časově nespojité Galerkinovy metody a Runge-Kuttovy metody

Discontinuous Galerkin method is widely used method for numerical solution of various PDEs. Its time variant (TDG) offers an interesting alternative to the classical single-step and multi-step methods. We will discuss the relationship between TDG, collocation methods and implicit Runge-Kutta methods. Using these relations we can apply the extensive theory which is build for Runge-Kutta methods to TDG. Mainly, we focus on the apriori error analysis – the superconvergence phenomenon and the order reduction occurring for stiff problems.
